Does it matter the number of students in class?

The number of students per class is a topic that has been discussed and that, from my point of view, It will continue discussing much.

On the one hand, are teachers and educators, most of which argue that the number of students should be less than actual, in many cases 31 class size, if you want to improve the academic performance of these. And on the other, are the institutions, center directors, etc. ensuring that the number of students does not affect your performance.

But, Who is right? It has objectively verified whether the number of students actually affects the academic performance?

This week spoke with the mother of two of my students, and he told me what you care about duties. Many are parents who raised questions as: Are they really important duties? Do we well putting them to do? Must be autonomous? How do we motivate them time to get?

Schools of the future. Kirkkojärvi School.

In July I wrote first in a series of post, I want to go in analyzing which are considered the 11 best schools in the world, not only for its features pedagogically, but also, for how to integrate new technologies into their system and how they use natural means to create sustainable environments.

The school of which I spoke in the post July was Ritaharju School, a school whose main feature is the use of new technologies in education. But not all Finnish schools emphasize this aspect. There are many other special features that make the 11 best schools in the world.
