If you are profe, surely you will sound the term STEM, or rather, abbreviations. STEM is an acronym for the English terms Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

This term was coined in the 90 por la National Science Foundation (NSF), and merely serves to group 4 large areas of knowledge in working scientists and engineers.

It related to this concept was developed a new way of teaching, together, Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology. This form of education was called "Education STEM".

The fundamental characteristics of STEM Education are that the teaching-learning of these four areas occurs in a joint and integrated manner and that, further, engineering learning occurs in an applied way. Always relating theoretical knowledge to its subsequent practical application.

In the 90 a series marked a before and after in STEM teaching, especially from Science. This series was “The Magic School Bus”, based on the book “The Magic School Bus” (1985) by Joanna Cole.

This series narrates the adventures of Mrs.. Frizzle and her class, who on board a school bus, a bit special, they go through all kinds of adventures through which they get to know different scientific concepts.

This series is once again the order of the day since in January Netflix reached an agreement, through which they are going to make a "remake" of the famous series. This remake will be called “The Magic School Bus 360°” and will be based on the original version, although with some modifications..

There are many of you who are writing to me, a bit worried, because your little ones have science at school, Concepts are getting more and more complicated., and you don't really know how to help them.

Therefore, I wanted to do some research on this series, since I think that, both parents and teachers, It will be great for teaching the little ones certain concepts in English in a playful and entertaining way..

If you don't want to wait for Netflix, You can watch the series online on many websites, among them Youtube.

Further, I leave you the website of Scholastic. In this link you will find a multitude of resources for teachers and classes organized by concepts and ages that, I'm sure, They will help you a lot in your Science class, or at home.

I hope this fantastic series will help you. If you know other similar resources we are looking forward to knowing them.

Thanks for being there!
