Last weekend I had the opportunity to be on the Education Week organized by IFEMA.
Besides many ideas and resources that I will gradually sharing with you I met Manualia, a brand that touched my heart.
How did Manualia?
Initially, the Manualia marked as such did not exist. Everything started with Polibea, a training center several years ago launched a drive attention to brain damage.
In centers with which it currently Polibea, are performed personalized rehabilitation programs, occupational and labor, designed based on the person and their needs.
Polibea The multidisciplinary team consists of the following rehabilitadoras disciplines:
- Neuropsychology.
- Physiotherapy.
- Occupational Therapy.
- Speech Therapy.
- Clinical Psychology.
- Social Work.
- Other rehabilitative disciplines: psychomotor and music therapy.
- Consulting: neurology, psychiatry and rehabilitation medicine.
- Experts in social and occupational rehabilitation.
Among the activities performed in these centers is the treaty of wood. With this technique further products also serve to rehabilitate itself are made.
Here comes Manualia! What better way to reintegration into society and to market products made in the workshops rehabilitation?
Manualia was created to market the products involved in the disabled. So, in workshop classrooms persons with disabilities receive training in the use and treated timber and, further, manipulative skills students develop.
Why teaching materials?
The development of these materials is not accidental. The develop teaching materials allow a number of cognitive processes such as observation, serialization, sequencing and organization. Cognitive processes that are activated by different significant activities.
They are means to arouse the interest of users, arranging favorable to initiate and sustain attention over a given variable time and depending on the person.
As you'll see all develop products that have a manipulative character. This allows to determine common features in objects, processes or phenomena, thus enhancing the ability of abstraction.
Further, many of manipulative activities are joint resolution, helping to break the isolation. Thus, users are accustomed to working with others and learn cooperatively.
Who can use these products?
Any!! 😀 A team of occupational therapists, Psychologists, teachers and pedagogues study and design each product, entering from design, ergonomics and accessibility features that allow its use by people of all ages, with or without disabilities.
The Manualia products are designed to be used from 1 añito.
These products range from puzzle to puzzle, through alphabets, seriación games, Association of colors, games to fit objects and encourage clamp, games tactile discrimination in which children have to match through touch textures containing equal parts. In short educational games with a very nice home: are made by people with disabilities who create the game itself has already served them as therapy.
I wanted to try these products and gave her abacus, intended to enhance the first exercises counting objects, Mark, the small of my friend Blanca. Judge for yourselves but I think he loved 😀
If you want more information about their products or have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch with them in the mail manualia.insercion@gmail.com.
I take this opportunity to wish all the people who make lots of luck Manualia. I wish more companies with this origin and rationale.
