It seems that these weeks of Science is the thing. In the previous post, I spoke of a legendary series that is great for teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering y Mathematics), and this week I'll leave 10 experiments that you can find on YouTube, Moreover English! 😉

1. Where do the ocean currents come from?

Marine currents are essential for the life of countless species and the functioning of our planet but, Where did they come from? Why do they exist and how can we explain all this to our students?

With this funny video of Bill Nye, your students will surely find it much clearer.

2. Rocket with tea bags.

This experiment is super simple, You can do it both at home and at school, and I assure you that it will leave the little ones amazed.

You just need some matches and a tea bag and… voilà! You already have your homemade rocket.

3. Light bars.

Your little ones will surely love the bars that light up when they are broken, but, What do you think it will seem to them that together you discover why they do it? In this video they explain the science of how the famous glow sticks work..

4. The egg and the bottle.

Do you know how to put an egg in a bottle? Without breaking it, Clear! 😉 You only need: a glass bottle, egg, a piece of paper and some matches or a lighter. I'm sure your students or children will be amazed.

5. Pressure and water.

To explain to your little ones the relationship of the pressure in the water, you don't have to go to the sea to a river like Bill Nye does, but with a bowl full of water and a glass you can teach them how pressure works. Before doing the experiment, show them this video.

6. Energy.

This experiment is a bit more difficult to do, but the video is great to explain to your students how energy works. En general, all of Bill Nye's videos are great for explaining Science concepts to your students. You can find many more videos in your YouTube channel.

7. Cornstarch and water, what will happen?

Did you know that the state of the cornstarch mix (cornmeal) and water changes depending on the pressure exerted on it? If you decide to do this experiment with your students, I'm sure they will get lost., but the most important thing is that they will have a great time.

8. Mentos and Coca Cola, an explosive reaction.

I remember doing this experiment years ago and… Uuuoooo, amazing! If you do it with your students, make sure you are far away otherwise you want to end up bathed in Coca Cola.

9. How to build a catapult.

For some reason, the slingshot, catapults and similar gadgets we love when we're little. If you want to teach your kids or students to make their own catapult with this video you can do it easily and simply.

10. The traveling water.

This experiment is one of my favorites. Not only because it teaches children how water passes from one place to another. Further, because they can see how the colors appear.

Yes, If you decide to do it, you will have to give it a little patience. It will take at least two hours to see the result.
