Today's post is especially dedicated to parents and teachers who read me.
Today there are going to find things to do with your kids, no tricks to improve their behavior. Today you are going to find useful information for you, because being a parent is very difficult, just leaves you time for you and much less to continue your training or learning areas that interest you.
As I imagine you'll have little time to equipment moves, Today I "I take" home courses.
Shall we start the class? 😉
Surely at some point you will have heard the acronym MOOC, but, You know they mean? This is the acronym for Massive Online Open Courses (massive and open online courses). These courses are the result of massive education on internet. Education free and open to anyone.
So we can talk about MOOC, The course must have the following characteristics:
- Being a course. Obviously, You must have a learning structure, which often leads to a series of tests or assessments to prove the knowledge acquired.
- Have massive character. The number of possible enrollment is usually unlimited, or in an amount far higher than could be counted in a classroom course. The scope is global.
- Online. The course is a distance, It requires no classroom attendance, why Internet is the main media.
- Open. The materials are available for free on Internet.
Massive courses They were born in 2008, when George Siemens and Stephen Downes created which, It is said that, It was the first Mooca: “Connectivism and Connective Knowledge (CCK08)". From there, and with the collaboration of Dave Cormier and Bryan Alexander, this group has been offering many open courses.
Later, and because of the success they experienced such courses They began to emerge private initiatives, with the collaboration of universities, subject matter experts and teachers, They have become big hits.
Today we will see much of platforms offering these courses. I will not get to analyze in detail because from my point of view what makes a MOOC is really good teachers who are importing and knowledge that they have of matter, college are to be.
That's why I encourage you to take a look at each of the platforms that you facilitated and when you simply interested in a course you inscribe, it costs nothing and if finally not nobody will tell you anything you carry out ... 😛
MOOC in Spain
We are not pioneers in this area, But we are Spanish I decided to mention to online courses platforms with which we in Spain first, although they are logically available worldwide.
I personally am not too familiar with any of them. Soil generally take courses in English as well take the opportunity to practice the language while learning something different. But, If you do not want complicaros, You can use these platforms on which courses are usually in Castilian.

Surely this platform will ring you and possibly you've ever used.
Coursera He was born in October 2011 developed by scholars from Stanford University. It is of course online platforms more global impact.
Coursera will find courses in many universities and almost any subject. I use a lot for education courses or improving skills like writing in English. For me, 100×100 recommendable.
4. NOVOED
Most courses are of the Stanford University but also you find courses from other universities and companies specializing in certain sectors.
Much of their courses are free but you can also find courses ranging from 29 to the 1.000 dollars.
5. UDACITY
Udacity is a somewhat different platform we're seeing the rest, mainly because their courses are not linked to universities. Son executives and engineers from major companies like Google or Facebook that are taught.
This platform was created as part of an "experiment" out of Stanford University, in which Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig offered the course “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”, totally free of charge. Some 160,000 more students 190 countries were enrolled in the course ... A success! This is how this platform was born.
As its name suggests, the courses that you will find on this site are from the Stanford University.
If you go to any of the courses you will see that actually Courses are conducted from platforms like Coursera or Novoed, that is to say, Most of the courses that you will find on this site will also be available on other platforms online courses. Even so, This is a good way to choose a particular university courses, in this case Stanford.

14. UNIVERSITY MORE
I do not think that you may be very interested in taking a course in Turkish ... but it is worth knowing that the Turks have also developed platforms for conducting online courses and this is one of them.
Among the many courses offered, you can find one in English, but the truth is that most will need to speak Turkish to understand something ...
- United Kingdom
15. FUTURE LEARN
Much of the universities that you will find on this platform are the UK, Most though the Old English also find some Scottish.
The best of these courses from my point of view, you will practice your English with an accent absolutely "british".
- Guatemala
16. TELESCOPE
Telescope is the platform of online courses at the University of Galileo in Guatemala. It's a much more modest platform when compared with that seen above, but it has some interesting courses and, above all, in Spanish, If you do not want the language complicaros.
As you can see you have no excuses to keep formándoos. Are increasingly platforms offering online courses and, above all, quality courses. These tools put within reach of our material hand, not for new technologies, we could not know.
Seize the opportunity offered by the Internet to, not only learn new things, but above all, being in contact with other cultures, countries and ways of seeing education.
As usual, thanks for your time.
Happy week!
