As you know, a few months ago, I began to write a series of posts in which I am speaking of the most innovative schools in the world.
In the first two, I spoke of the two Finnish schools that are part of this group, Ritaharju School and Kirkkojärvi School. But among the 11 most innovative schools in the world there are many other nationalities schools.
Although you seem surprising, school of which I speak today, and part of this privileged list, is found in Egypt.
Future Tech part of Futures Education Systems (FES), one initiative whose mission is to help achieve quality and equality of education in Egypt, establishing an educational model that serves as an example, that is affordable and economically viable.
One of the things I liked about this model and has possibly made part of this list of colleges are its pillars: tolerance and respect of others regardless of their differences.
Further, one of its main objectives is to provide its students with the necessary tools so that they are ready and able to face the future. This seems very obvious, but if you think it really is not so much, Do you think that schools are currently working to this end? Or just cover a range of content that are required by law?
Returning to school protagonist of today's article, some of the main features of Future Tech are:
- As we mentioned, one of its main objectives is to build an environment of equality and tolerance.
- In Future Tech they are very conscious about the importance of protecting our environment. Therefore, call for creating a sustainable environment, less paper and more use of technology.
- In this school care much practical training of students, why they give them the opportunity to practice, to entrench what students have learned and gain work experience.
- They are the last! Providing its students and teachers the most modern resources, and always looking for those that enrich the learning experience.
- They considered much feedback from students and parents, why they involve them in most decisions.
But, Besides all these features, What perhaps makes this school special is that is part of Microsoft Partners in Learning Innovative Schools Program. A program created by Microsoft in order to respond to the following question: How I can make learning more relevant and accessible, increasing the natural desire of students to learn and preparing them for future success?
The objective of this program is to find and share, the best educational practices, in addition to developing models and resources, any school or educational system can be used to help students develop their full potential.
This program has three levels of participation:
- Worldwide Innovative Schools Community.
- Innovative Schools Pathfinder Program.
- Innovative Schools Mentor Schools.
Once the center has participated in the International Community, you can apply to be part of Innovative Schools Pathfinder Program, but for this you must show that covers a series of requirements.
That's when, from the schools that are part of Innovative Schools Pathfinder Program, They are selected from the Innovative Schools Mentor Schools, among which is Future Tech. These are schools that serve as a model and example for the rest of the International Community.
As you will see, Future Tech is not among the 11 most innovative schools in the world by chance. It was chosen from many other schools for being a center where new technologies, ecology and tolerance go hand in hand.
Undoubtedly a great example to follow.
