Sure dad or teacher as the subject of the duties you care.

We have already spoken on occasion this topic, ¿Duties or duties yes no?. Undoubtedly it is a topic of much debate and no end to reach a consensus on whether duties are good or not to improve the performance of our students.

I now I will not get into this debate I have already touched on occasion. What I will do is give 10 ideas to make the time for homework and reading fun.

Let's talk about children of early childhood education or first cycle of primary the most important thing, from my point of view, is that the time of homework is a fun time, and that they do not think that they are working but that they are playing.

• Get interesting books. Either to work on reading or to reinforce some aspect in which the little one is weaker. The important thing is to find books that are interesting to you. Obviously nobody likes to read boring books and your little one less. That is why it is interesting that you even go with him to buy the books. Do not forget, further, that it is very important that you buy books of his level.

• Celebrate achievements. Every time your child or student reads or does homework, celebrate it as if you were at a party. It may seem silly to you but the children love us to dance, let us applaud, that we make them happy faces, Whatever you occur!!

• Set goals. You can put marks on the books you are going to read or say which letter you are going to learn that week. If the child is clear about the objectives he has to achieve, it will be much easier for him to meet them.

• Hold you accountable. Children need to feel that they are responsible for something. Have him read things that are really important like directions for doing homework, a book that you are reading together, something that he himself has written in school, etc. That way you will feel important and will do it much better..

• Read to your stuffed animals or pets. As we have already mentioned, children need to feel important and responsible.. They need to feel that they have a fundamental role in the process, so a good idea is to ask him to read to his dolls. Surely many of your children have already done it!! 😉

• Assemble a class with the dolls. You can play to set up a class and explain the token they have to make. What better way to explain the card to them than to do it himself!

• Use a magnifying glass to read. They are sure to love seeing the large letters and if they have never used a magnifying glass they will be impressed.

• Create a reading corner in your room. Just as it is important that children have their own space to do homework, it is also important that they have a space to read quietly. You can set up a reading corner. With blankets, cushions and small furniture you can create a cozy corner where children sit and read.

• Imitations. The little ones love to play that they are their teacher. You can pretend that they are the teacher and you are the students, or they the parents and you the children. Let them explain to you the duties of that day! 😉

• Audio books. A great way to encourage children to read is with audio books.. Search Youtube for audio books of your favorite stories, listen to them and then read them together. You can play to put the same tone of voice of the narrator, to act or be different characters. They will love!

I hope these tricks help you to face the time of homework a little better and, above all, to motivate your little ones before homework and reading.
