Increasingly, the cabbages are jumping on the bandwagon of bilingualism, and more and more schools decide to start teaching English at an early age. In the past week, I received an email from Mireia, a reader who told me that this year is "facing" the challenge of teaching physical education in English, specifically in early childhood education.

Give physical education in English is a challenge because, on the one hand, It is a subject that is not usually taught in this language and, therefore, we do not have many resources.

On the other hand, physical education in childhood is essential. We've talked on occasion of the relationship between physical and intellectual development of the kids, and the importance of a good motor development at early ages.

Mireia in the mail asking me some resources to teach physical education in English, why in today's post, I leave you 6 activities so that you can work with the kids in your class different skills of PE (Physical Education).

Have activities organized by skills. Thus, according to the teaching unit that you be working and the skills that you may have to work in each teaching unit, I find it easier to find the right activity.

Clicking on the titles you can download activity.

Balance

Cooperative learning

Body awareness and space

Integration

I hope you are useful and interesting.

Thanks for being there!

  1. I am reminded of your activities pearls had to make something of this, we teaching English through physical education and had been looking for a while, I'll keep an eye on the activities you propose that and I've been eyeing and adapt them to my kids. Since I'm in the bilingual cole I like how children can learn English in a fun way, not the typical English class, where teachers give the “plate”, It is a good way to learn new words in this language, that some find it so hard.

    • How well Lourdes! 🙂
I am glad that you can be useful.
I hope you go telling me what they look like your activities chic @ s.
If you need anything do not hesitate to tell me.
